Leading into 2025, the Lord made us a promise to ‘meet us in the more’. We truly feel like we are living in a kairos moment, where God is ready to occupy every inch of room we are willing to make for Him.In considering what this means in this opportunity to express our affection for the Lord through our resources, we’re gripped by the account of Elisha and the Shunemite woman in 2 Kings 4. What happened in this woman’s encounter with the presence of God, through Elisha, that she felt compelled to literally make room for him?
Imagine her, seated at the table, her eyes teeming with delight as she watches Elisha feast on her generosity. As Elisha takes his fill, she finds her own. But it’s a deeper hunger she feels being satisfied. One that keeps her hanging onto every one of his words.
Whatever she experienced in her time with Elisha, providing a meal for him was not enough. She pledges to expand her dwelling for him. For her, it’s all “worth the trouble” if it means she might be able to constrain God’s presence, in the man Elisha, to her home for that little while longer.May we find the same cheerfulness in our own hearts as we consider how the cost of making room pales in comparison to God’s promise to meet us there.
O Lord, You are more than worth the trouble.

Established in 2021, Hampr’d has been a means of bringing comfort to those in our local community walking through hardship or pain during, through care packages filled with gifts and essential goods. Your generosity will help us continue this work, albeit with a focus on our more immediate community. To date, we’ve already been able to provide care-packages to a number of families and individuals who call Freedom Centre home, who have faced immense heart-break and diffculty.
In 2024, with your ‘yes’ we were able to provide aid to the development of a high-security school and housing precinct for orphaned chidren living in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. Your generosity will again make room for us to allocate much-needed funding to projects in nations where we have missional ties through Freedom Ministries, as need arises.
You’ll also be continuing to add strength to our partnership with OpenDoors – an incredible organisation that exists to strengthen over 365 million Chrisitans worldwide who are suffering on account of their faith. In 2024, Open Doors smuggled more than 2.5 million Bibles into high-risk nations. They provided another 5.7 million Christians with critical discipleship and persecution survival training. While more than half-a-million believers received emergency medical aid and relief following violence and disaster.
Thanks to your ‘yes’ we’ll continue to be able to fund initiatives like Big Sunday, with the hope of seeing more unsaved people hear the message of Jesus and encounter the presence and power of God.
Launched in June 2024, Nameless Faceless was conceived from a command to “Rise and walk the length and breadth” of our city to the glory of the name of Jesus. The strategy was simple – to bring the saints of Melbourne together and “Jericho” the city with worship, prayer and evangelism. Since then, we’ve hosted just under 20 events already in different locations spanning our city. Your seed this year will help us continue to host these “pop-ups”, while we continue to look at ways to have the movement fully fund itself.
With the help of your ‘yes’ in 2024, we were able to establish additional restrooms and a small kitchenette upstairs at our Ravenhall location. This has been a major point of relief for our Kids Teams who were required to make the trek up and down the stairs for kitchen or bathroom use. With the recent purchase of the building, we’re able to plan more freely for the future. Your offering will help us optimise the space for the immense growth we have already seen, while also helping to prepare for a move to double services.
The first call to action in considering what your ‘yes’ will look like this year, is to prayer. Take time to sit with God and seek out what He is wanting you to sow that carries the same message – whatever the cost, it’s worth the trouble.
Having settled on a figure with God, take the courageous step of committing to it, by submitting a pledge at the link above.
Begin planning and working toward fulfilling your commitment. As a first step, consider how you may need to adjust your budget. Then, where God has called you to radical generosity, look for doors He is opening along the way that will help move you toward fulfilling your pledge.

The first and most important call to action in considering what your ‘yes’ will look like this year, is to prayer. Take time to sit with God and seek out what financial seed He is wanting you to sow. Like this woman, allow your heart to be stirred into a willing and cheerful resolve to offer something that carries the same message that, whatever the cost, it’s worth the trouble.
What would have been required to make room for Elisha? What resources needed to be gathered and space cleared? In the same manner, begin planning and working toward fulfilling your commitment. Consider how you may need to adjust your budget. Then, where God has called you to radical generosity, look for opportunities that will help move you toward fulfilling your pledge.
